Arabi
Five ship births, mooring and warehousing, plus the only calm-water, deep draft slip on the lower Mississippi.
Chalmette
A 216-acre industrial park with tour boat landing, deep draft midstream mooring and barge fleeting facility.
Meraux
Midstream mooring buoys spanning 1,300 linear feet can accommodate up to a Capesize oceangoing vessel.
Violet
72-acre terminal with five ship berths that can accommodate ships from 30 to 800 feet.

The St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District hosted its second annual guided tour of its Chalmette and Arabi Terminals on June 1 to highlight the facilities’ positive economic impact on St. Bernard.
For the past six years, local maritime leaders have recognized the region’s rich maritime history and honored its hardworking men and women by celebrating “Maritime Month” each May to coincide with National Maritime Day on May 22.
The St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District will join in the month-long celebration by hosting its second annual guided tour of its Chalmette and Arabi Terminals to highlight the facilities’ positive economic impact on St. Bernard, said Port Executive Director Drew Heaphy.

St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District is reporting another successful year with record tonnage despite the economy still being affected by covid-19, Executive Director Drew Heaphy said.
St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District seeks to fill a part-time Security Guard positions. Persons applying will be responsible for maintaining security at all Terminals by controlling access in and out of the facilities, preventing crime and vandalism and providing traffic and parking controls. Security Guards work revolving shifts. Applicants need a valid U.S. Driver’s License to apply and must meet the requirements to acquire a TWIC card. It is with much sorrow that we announce the death of Robert J. Scafidel, Ed.D. Dr. Scafidel was the Executive Director for the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District from 1998 to 2017. As Executive Director, he achieved his goals of renovating docks, developing riverfront property, and improving the economic conditions in St. Bernard Parish by creating jobs. He will be greatly missed by all that knew him. We are grateful for his contribution to the St. Bernard Port and the maritime community.

The two newest members of the St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District’s Board of Commissioners bring with them a wealth of maritime knowledge and experience that spans several decades.
Walter J. Cure IV and Jeanne E. Ferrer were both installed in a ceremony held prior to the July 13 meeting of the board.

“The St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District recently entered into a long-term lease agreement with one of the parish’s largest companies,” said Port Executive Director Drew Heaphy.
American Sugar Refining, Inc. (ASR), a member of ASR Group and owner of the Domino® Sugar Chalmette Refinery, signed a 10-year lease for an 80,000 square-foot warehouse facility at the Port’s Chalmette Terminal.

The Board of Commissioners of the St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District have reached an agreement and unanimously voted to approve the conveyance of a property in Violet, LA to the Port of New Orleans (Port NOLA) for a potential new container terminal. For St. Bernard Port, the conveyance is part of the resolution of long-standing litigation surrounding the property.
The St. Bernard Port, Harbor & Terminal District is pleased to announce the first cargo transfer to take place at its new Violet Terminal.
The TEXEL, a 434-foot general cargo ship sailing under the Holland flag, docked in Violet at 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 29, marking the first cargo ship to berth at the Violet Terminal.
Two staff members at the St. Bernard Port, Harbor and Terminal District have recently completed vessel training courses required by the U.S. Coast Guard in order to operate a boat with up to six (6) passengers.
