The St. Bernard Port participates in various community events throughout the parish, including but not limited to: Special Olympics, Leadership St. Bernard, St. Bernard Day, and AgMagic on the River

To celebrate Maritime Month in May, the port holds its annual Maritime Month Tour, a free and open-to-the-public event that gives the community insight into the port and a tour of the lower Mississippi. We have also given tours to various internships such as Urban League of Louisiana, OpenWaters Louisiana, Washington Wheat Growers Association, and more.

In collaboration with Associated Terminals, Turn Services, and Inland Rivers, Port and Terminals Inc., we visit Chalmette High School and engage seniors and juniors in various interactive stations related to the Maritime Industry.
