In Memory of William T. Bergeron

It is with great sorrow and our deepest regrets that we acknowledge the news of the passing of a valued member of our Board of Commissioners, Mr. William T. Bergeron. Mr. Bergeron served on our Board of Commissioners for two and a half years.  

Through his years of service, he was always a strong advocate for the maritime industry.  Mr. Bergeron was the 2018 recipient of the C. Alvin Bertel Award, which is presented each year to an individual who has made significant contributions to the Louisiana port community. 

His vast knowledge and experience of the maritime industry will be missed and difficult to replace.   

The St. Bernard Port Board of Commissioners and staff would like to offer our heartfelt condolences to Mr. Bergeron’s loved ones as they navigate through this difficult time.
